NIGHTWISH's Early Albums To Be Reissued Via SPINEFARM RECORDS UK
August 13, 2007Spinefarm Records will be launching in the UK this autumn, kicking off its campaign with deluxe versions of the first five albums from NIGHTWISH — the multi-platinum Finnish outfit whose latest CD, "Dark Passion Play", is scheduled for release late September/early October (depending on territory). The albums in question are as follows:
"Angels Fall First" (1997)
"Oceanborn" (1998)
"Wishmaster" (2000)
"Over The Hills And Far Away" (2001)
"Century Child" (2002)
All of these reissues are fully endorsed by the band and will come complete with bonus tracks and videos, significantly expanded artwork, sleevenotes, messages, autographs and special packaging. There will also be a limited run of double albums, pressed onto coloured vinyl.
Many of the band's best-known compositions are featured on these titles —
"The Carpenter", "Sacrament Of Wilderness", "Sleeping Sun", "The Kinslayer", "Wanderlust", "Dead Boy's Poem", "Bless The Child", "Ever Dream" and more, plus spectacular covers of "Walking In The Air", "The Phantom Of The Opera" and Gary Moore's "Over The Hills And Far Away", a favorite of NIGHTWISH composer/keyboard player Tuomas Holopainen since he was a child.
To date, NIGHTWISH has sold around 3 million records worldwide, and has toured in 40 different countries.
